Craftsman Garage Door Opener Blinking a Green Light Remote Controls Not Working?

As of this morning the little green light on the wall mounted receiver/remote is blinking continuosly, and the door will not open or close if you use either of the remotes in our cars. The lights in the actual garage door opener on the ceiling blink twice but nothing happens. The door will open and close if you push the button on the wall, and if you use the wireless keypad. Any ideas what could be wrong??

Ask them how to solve your exact problem.

google search owners manual stanley and you can probably find the instructions.

first replace the battery on the key pad.

the newer types of garage doors have a red or white square button on the motor unit called a smart or learn button.

if you hold down the smart learn button for about 5 seconds, the light will blink (i think twice). this will erase all known codes in the unit. then press the learn button once for a second and then type in your new code and push enter within 30 seconds and the light will blink again signaling it has learned the new code. repeat the one second press learn to teach it any other remote devices such as another remote or keypad.

Replace batteries or charge the remote.

The wall mounted door control has a "Lock Button". Press and hold the lock button for about 2-3 seconds until the flashing light goes solid. This disengages the lock feature. The lock feature will temporarily disable the remote controls (but not the wireless keypad or the hardwired wall button) when it is engaged. As soon as the wall button’s light is on solid, your remotes will begin to work again.
